The Walt Disney Archives will return to the D23 Expo in 2015 with an exhibit celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Disneyland.

“Disneyland: The Exhibit” will feature more than 300 pieces from Disneyland’s history and will include themed areas dedicated to the park’s history, attractions, parades, and entertainment over the past 60 years. Guests can view items from the construction of Disneyland, such as surveying equipment, a prototype vehicle for the the Alice in Wonderland attraction, dancing monkey costumes used during Fantasmic!, an early Autopia car, the Abominable Snowman from the Matterhorn Bobsleds (which was recently replaced), as well as items from Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey Mouse Club at Disneyland, and Club 33.

“Disneyland: The Exhibit” will take up 12,000 square feet of the Expo show floor and is sure to be a major draw to the 2015 D23 Expo.

Held only once every two years, and dubbed “The Ultimate Disney Fan Event”, the D23 Expo brings together all the worlds of Disney under one roof for three days of presentations, pavilions, experiences, concerts, sneak peeks, shopping, and more.
