Halloween Time is returning to the Disneyland Resort September 11th through November 1st. Guests will soon be able to enjoy Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy once again. (View attraction closure dates). And for 2015, 17 nights will be dedicated to the special ticketed event, Mickey’s Halloween Party.

Mickey’s Halloween Party, which requires separate admission, will be held on select evenings and includes exclusive performances of the new Disneyland 60th Anniversary “Paint the Night” parade as well as the traditional “Halloween Screams” fireworks spectacular. Guests of Mickey’s Halloween Party can also take part in an all-new, superhero-themed dance party at Tomorrowland Terrace featuring a visit from Super Goof. Thunder and fog will announce the arrival of the Disney Villains as they ride into Town Square on a black horse-drawn carriage. The Cadaver Dans, the Halloween version of the famous Dapper Dans quartet will perform special seasonal songs along the Rivers of America. Disney says “nearly” all of the Disneyland rides and attractions will be open, which will include the Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy. Some major changes for 2015 are the inclusion of the new 60th anniversary “Paint the Night” parade into Mickey’s Halloween Party and the cancelation of the Halloween Carnival. Regular day guests of Disneyland will not be able to see the “Paint the Night” parade on the evenings which a special-ticketed Mickey’s Halloween Party event is also held (see the list of dates above). This is very important information if you are planing a trip to Disneyland between September 11th and November 1st 2015 and wish to view the new 60th anniversary parade. “Disneyland Forever” fireworks will also only be shown on non-party nights. Make sure to plan your trip around the dates listed. Also not returning for 2015, the Halloween Carnival. The Halloween Carnival has been held in the Big Thunder Ranch area of Frontierland over the past several years and included stage performances, special foods and crafts, character meet and greets, and the popular carved pumpkins. As of now, this special entertainment is not scheduled to return for 2015. Dia de los Muertos is scheduled to return to Zocalo Park in Frontierland.

The Big Thunder Ranch area is expected to close in early January, 2016 to begin it’s transformation into Star Wars Land.
