Disney California Adventure Photo Update for July 2016
Welcome Back to the Disneyland Resort!
This week we head across the esplanade to Disney California Adventure. The temperature was much more mild than last week, but the summer crowds continue to draw longer wait times at the park’s most popular attractions. Soarin’ Around the World and Grizzly River Run continue to draw the longest wait times, while the Fastpasses for the new Frozen Live at the Hyperion stage show continue to be fully distributed by the first several hours after park opening.
In this Disneyland Resort Photo Report we’ll visit Buena Vista Street and view some of the new Oswald merchandise, take a trip to Monstropolis, down Route 66, and see the Ellis Island Boys perform.
Buena Vista Street
New merchandise has appeared over at Oswald’s Filling Station on Buena Vista Street. Oswald tee shirts, mugs, signs and more are now available. Disney has also created a few items based on the 1927 animated short “The Banker Daughter” which introduced us to Ortensia, Oswald’s companion.
A few of the items can be seen below:
Although new editions are not printed as often as they were in 2012, it’s great to see Disney continuing to create new editions of the Buena Vista Street Bugle newspaper. The latest edition, Summer 2016 can be seen below:
The latest movie preview at the Disneyland Resort has opened in HollywoodLand at California Adventure. The preview for Pete’s Dragon is now showing in the newly renamed Sunset Showcase Theater, formerly the Muppet Vision 3D theater.
This theater has become the new location for in-park movie previews.
Soarin’ Around the World is now open at California Adventure and new merchandise is now for sale at Humphrey’s Service and Supplies.
Paradise Garden and the Ellis Island Boys
After several weeks of remaining closed due to rumored budget cuts, the Paradise Garden Grill has reopened. Hopefully it remains open and once again becomes a guest favorite. There’s no better place to relax and enjoy some shade and tunes at Disney California Adventure.
The Ellis Island Boys are a wonderfully talented band which performs regularly on the Paradise Garden Bandstand.
