Disney recently shared another behind-the-scenes video (showed above this article) showcasing some of the set pieces and technology that being incorporated into the new “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” stage show at Disney California Adventure.
The custom video wall that is showcased in the above video is massive, comprised of more than 4 million pixels and covering 2,200 square feet of space. Disney is also using a system that will help track the performers while they are on stage. Called BlackTrax, the system will track the stage performers movements using small diodes placed on their costumes. The system will then allow for precise projections and light movements. A demo of BlackTrax can be seen in the video below providing us with an idea of what Disney might have in store for “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion”.
While you watch the video of BlackTrax keep an eye on the floor. Disney will be using this technology during the freezing scene.
“Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” will debut at Disney California Adventure on May 27, 2016.
