Annual Passholders can attend a Sleeping Beauty Screening and Fantasyland After Hours Event on Wednesday, January 29, 2014. The event is in celebration of the 55th anniversary of Sleeping Beauty.

Movie screenings will be held at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Main Street Opera House.

The event also features after-hours Fantasyland access. Disneyland will close at 8 p.m., but will remain open to Annual Passholders who have registered and received a wristband until 10 p.m. The following attractions will remain open for the event:

  • Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough
  • Peter Pan’s Flight
  • Snow White’s Scary Adventures
  • Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride
  • Pinocchio’s Daring Journey
  • King Arthur Carrousel
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • Casey Jr. Circus Train

Those in attendance may also have the opportunity to meet with Maleficent, Aurora, Phillip, Flora and Meriwether.

Although Disney hasn’t named which locations will be open, they have said that “select” merchandise and food locations will be available as well. “Select foods” most likely refers to outdoor vending.

Disneyland began hosting similar Annual Passholder movie screenings and after hours events in 2013 during the Limited Time Magic promotion. It is very nice to see these unique events continue. Hopefully it will encourage Disneyland management to host a few of the historical presentations that were also held last year.

To register, Annual Passholders must show their valid passport, in person, at the Main Street Opera House. Registration begins at 10 a.m. on the day of the event. Once registered, passholders will receive a wristband and an designated movie screening time. Your wristband is your ticket into the movie screening and after-hours Fantasyland event – don’t loose it! The Main Street Opera House will open approximately 15 minutes prior to each movie screening, and the run time of the film is 76 minutes.

Passholders who have registered may re-enter into the park and the Fantasyland after-hours event up until 30 minutes prior to the end, which is 9:30 p.m. You’ll need your valid Annual Passport, a hand stamp and your wrist band to re-enter.

Mickey and Friends trams and Toy Story parking lot shuttles will continue running up until 11 p.m., one hour after the Fantasyland after-hours event ends. For more details visit Disneyland’s official site.
