Disneyland has added an attraction overlay for the 2014 Holiday Season. The Jungle Cruise has been added to the growing list of attractions which have received a make over for this popular time of year. Known as the “Jingle Cruise“, it seems those “homesick Jungle Cruise skippers” have decided to bring some holiday cheer to the jungle by decorating their boat house and cruise boats with some items sent from home. They have also hand crafted Holiday decorations from items found around the jungle. Some Holiday punchlines have also been interjected throughout the tour.
Most of what you’ll see in terms of Holiday decorations exists in the boat house queue. Christmas lights strung up in the office spaces, a tree made from candles and arrows, and packages sent from “home” are sporadically placed throughout the building. A keen ear will notice some changes in the radio loop as well as the occasional skipper announcements which are made while guests wait in line.
On the actual ride, the boats have a few subtle touches. Lights and decor on the signs, new boat names and a few pieces of “garland” made from small life rings. The skippers have also added a few new jokes which are inspired by the Christmas, Hanukkah and even Boxing Day holidays.
Below you’ll find a video ride through of the “Jingle Cruise” and some photos from the decorated queue. The video is definitely not spoiler free, you’ve been warned.
