First let me say thanks to all who read, comment and chat on DisneylandLive. The past three years have been a wild ride! The multi-year, “billion dollar” makeover and expansion of Disney California Adventure park is nearly complete, with Cars Land, Buena Vista Street and the re-dedication taking place in less than two weeks!
Over the past few years I have seen extreme growth in readership on this lowly blog and I am enormously thankful for that. This summer will be like no other for the Disneyland Resort and because I am only one guy (yup it’s been just me all this time) I will be presenting all that the resort has to offer in a unique way.

What will this summer bring?

The summer of 2012 at Disneyland will go down as one of the largest in recent time. From new lands, attractions, shows and restaurants, to re-imagined ones that you can experience all over again. We have created a list for you to refer to here on the blog as well as a printable version (coming soon) that you can take with you to the park to check off experiences as you go! You can get the list at http://ocattractions.net/june15

Media week coverage

The week leading up to the California Adventure relaunch day will be packed with media events.  The media event on June 14, 2012 will be so large that Disney California Adventure park will be closed to the public; Disneyland will remain open.  The barrage of media coverage, photos, videos and reviews will be hard to keep up with. Because of this, I have created a page where I will be aggregating the events of that day on a live blog! You can open the page, leave it open and the news stream will refresh ‘automagically’.

Photo & News Reports

Those of you who have grown accustom to our weekly photojournalism posts of the Disneyland Resort will notice some differences this summer. In the month of June I will bring you general photos of exactly what you want, Cars Land and Buena Vista Street! For the remainder of the summer, I will showcase an attraction, show or series of shops in those areas.

This summer will be a big one.  An unprecedented relaunch and re-dedication of a Disney theme park, new food locations in both parks and Downtown Disney, as well as a major refurbished attraction and new entertainment at Disneyland.

I can’t wait for this summer at the Disneyland Resort!
