Disneyland Resort Photo Report for May 8, 2012.
Welcome Back to the Disneyland Resort

We are going to try something a bit different this week and I need your feedback!  I’ve been hard at work on a Disneyland Resort Photography Gallery section on Disneyland Live, and this week I’ve added the Photo and News Report to that section.  It is much more optimized for viewing the high quality photos you have come to expect from our photo and news updates.  I need your feedback on whether or not you would like to see the updates done in this fashion from now on.  If you love it, tell us in the comment section, on the bottom of this page.  If you hate it, tell us that too!  Disneyland Live is for you, the reader!

Now on with the update…

The majority of the large Main Street refurbishments were completed this past week when the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, the Penny Arcade and the Candy Palace reopened.  The shops have been completely redesigned and look amazing!  On page 2 we take a look at the current state of the Carnation Plaza Gardens, as the preparation for its conversion into the Princess Fantasy Faire has begun.  Page 4 is not one to miss.  We take an extensive look at the Buena Vista Street Construction progress with a great look from the north side of the Monorail bridge.  Disney also gave us a look at the inside of the Carthay Circle Restaurant and the exclusive Club 33 member only ‘1901’ lounge.  The Mad T Party installation is moving forward and the LEGO Imagination Center in Downtown Disney has reopened!  There are a total of eight pages in this update and you can get to it in the link below…

…but first here are this week’s crowd predictions from Touring Plans

Crowds should be fairly light at Disneyland this week and will stay fairly light for the next few weeks. TouringPlans.com can help you navigate the parks with our per-park Crowd CalendarLines – Mobile Wait Times App that gives access to current and estimated wait times for attractions, and Touring Plans detailing the best plan of attack for hitting the attractions. Now more than ever, it’s a good time to subscribe to TouringPlans.com to plan your strategy to avoid the crowds!

Below are the predicted resort-wide crowd numbers for select days generated by the TouringPlans professional statisticians as measured for the upcoming week. For the access to the full year and per-park crowd level predictions, visit our Crowd Calendar.
