Around the Resort
The much loved Cove Bar has reopened at Disney California Adventure
Holiday bunting has been installed on Main Street USA!
Happy Memorial Day!!!
Construction continues at the Carnation Cafe, and it seems that Disney has become shy about showing off the progress.
New, beautiful signage has been installed for the Carnation Cafe
Back over at DCA, all of the Paradise Pier billboards have been replaced!
Ghirardelli soda fountain and chocolate shop is nearing completion and is rumored to open on the 5th. (not a confirmed date)
Cars Land….OPEN ALREADY!
The former “It’s A Bug’s Life” fastpass machines (yes it once had fastpass!) will be repurposed as a fastpass distribution location for Radiator Springs Racers.
The exterior of the “It’s A Bug’s Life” theater is loosing the Bug’s Land theming. This area is highly visible from Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and other areas of Cars Land. Just as we saw the jet, elephants and Condor Flats sign removed from the sight-lines of Buena Vista Street, the same is happening here for Cars Land.
The Pacific Warf sign was removed from the bridge…this is also a pathway to Cars Land.
Cars Land and Buena Vista Street are the priorities!
Over at Hollywood Land and Buena Vista Street, the elephant pedestals have been repainted.
The WonderGround Gallery in downtown Disney is opening June 9th, and DJ Wendy Walker will be there to help launch the Disney owned location.
Walls have gone up around the Earl of Sandwich location and construction has begun inside. Although, it doesn’t look very far along and I don’t think this location will be ready for the big June 15, 2012 relaunch of Disney California Adventure…but you never know, they could barrow some pixie dust.
Also in Downtown Disney, the La Brea Bakery has reopened. I’ll have interior photographs for you next week.
That’s going to do it for this week’s update. You can see the past updates here.
See You At Disneyland!
