It truly saddens me to know that Disneyland is going to bulldoze this beautiful and historic section of the park to make way for more princess merchandise and meet and greets.

I love certain corners of the park, and this one is a personal favorite. The bandstand has played host to Louis Armstrong, Count Basie and Duke Ellington. Not to mention the countless youth entertaining guests with music and the older ‘cutting a rug’ to swing bands. No doubt Walt Disney himself walked these grounds and stood on this stage.

It is a sad end to a fan favorite, and it will be missed.
