Disney is hosting a large event this weekend in Downtown Disney to celebrate talent in the deaf community.  “SIGNin’ in the Street” will be held near the AMC Theater over the next two days, March 17 & 18, and will feature the stars of ABC’s “Switched at Birth”, actor Sean Berdy, live music, drama and film screenings at the AMC Theater.

Film screenings include the documentary, See What I’m Saying; The Hammera biographical film on Matt Hamill as well as screenings of “Switched at Birth’s” upcoming season finale.  Tickets for the “Switched at Birth” finale will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:30am Saturday, all others can be purchased at AMC’s box office, or on their web site.

Disney will be selling special ASL (American Sign Language) merchandise, designed specifically for this event, and artist Mary Rappazzo will be on hand Saturday for poster autographs.

The event will be held from noon to 9pm on Saturday and noon to 8pm on Sunday and is free to the public, with the exception of the movies, which are $9.  Parking is free for the first 3 hours in the Downtown Disney parking lot, and you can obtain an additional 2 hour validation with purchases at any of the Downtown Disney retailers, restaurants or the AMC Theater.

Select Downtown Disney restaurants will also feature special St. Patrick’s Day Menus this weekend as well.
