Sneak Peek at Mickey’s Halloween Party at Disneyland Park
Mickey’s Halloween Party has become an anual tradition at the Disneyland Resort, and a very popular one at that!  Most of the nights sell out!

This year poses a few challenges for the organizers of the halloween parties.  Last year Mickey’s Halloween Party saw some significant changes.  They were moved from Disney California Adventure to Disneyland and the very popular Halloween Screams Fireworks were made exclusive to the special ticketed event, upsetting a lot of guests whom had grown accusom to seeing the show as part of their day visit. Disney made the move to Disneyland because of the large amount of construction at Disney California Adventure, as the park is now moving into it’s final year of the $1 Billion Dollar Makeover!

Disney is only adding a few ‘tweaks’ to the parties this year.  In a recent Disney Parks Blog post, Disney revealed that Mickey’s Halloween Party will feature “new elements, like new trick-or-treat locations…”, and “Party guests will be able to explore areas of the park that they haven’t had the chance to explore before.”

The popular Pirates of the Caribbean attraction will be closed for a scheduled refurbishment during the parties, but don’t worry, guests of the parties will still get their Disney pirate fix.  Pirates will be “taking over” Frontierland and will include Jack Sparrow.  Mickey’s Halloween Party guests will also have the chance to meet Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale in Frontierland to play pirate themed games. Younger guests can color special pirate treasure maps and have to opportunity to meet with Phineas and Ferb.

The OC Register has received even more details about the types of character interactions that await guests.

This year, Stormtroopers from the “Star Wars” saga will take pictures with party-goers Tomorrowland, popular Walt Disney Channel characters Phineas and Ferb will be at Plaza Gardens Stage and Duffy the Bear – dressed like a pumpkin – will greet guests at Town Square in Main Street, U.S.A.

Additionally, a new dance party called “Piratepalooza” is scheduled to take place at Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante in Frontierland. “Buzz Lightyear’s Intergalactic Space Jam” is returning to the Tomorrowland Terrace.
