Special Photo Update: Paradise Garden

Tomorrow not only marks the official opening for Goofy’s Sky School and the restaurants you are about to see, but it also marks the end of construction for Paradise Pier (as it pertains to the current 1 billion dollar makeover).  Paradise Pier has come a long way in the past 3 years, and it still has a bit to go in some areas, but as you are about to see, the little park next door to Disneyland has really grown up!

I’m not going to do much commentary on these photos…I’ll let most of them speak for themselves!

Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta

As I was allowed in to take pictures, I had no idea what to expect.

The place is beautiful!

On the right side is the Salad area.

Made fresh when you order, it seems that the same system for the Cobb Salad at the Plaza Inn will be used here.

The main entrance leads you to the center of the restaurant where a brick pizza oven is the focal point.

In great Disney style the pizza oven is an opening to the actual kitchen behind the restaurant.

The Pasta side is the far left, this is also where you’ll find the Children’s Meal’s.

At the main entrance you’ll see subtle photographs that were obviously the inspiration for the building I was standing in.

The area is a great addition to Paradise Pier and Disney California Adventure as a whole.  The covered seating and greenery will help to create the shade that this park was severly lacking in on opening day.

See You At Disneyland!

lame.. a revamped food land with just more food options and minimal shading and tons of places for me to throw my money away. still probably gonna stick to eating at disneyland anywhere i can look at rivers of america or blue bayou…should just built another ride…. what a waste of a billion dollars… BILLION!!!!!!!

    • Tanibaby512

That wasn’t where the whole billion dollars went…pretty sure Cars Land is eating up most of that.

You are an idiot and can’t see through your biased eyes that this new area is more lush and beautiful than anything.  So stay at DL to eat, that will leave more room for us.  You obviously have not visited this new area in person.  But even the photos show how beautiful this new area is.  And they did not spend $1 billion on just this.  The whole redo of DCA phase one is $1.3billion and they are doing just fine thank you.

I think it looks great.  I look forward to the flatbread pizzas.  The BLT flatbread pizza at the Village Haus singlehandedly turned the place from one of the worst to one of the best places to eat at DL.  And now this new area will have 4 flatbread options rather than one.  It should be good.

I’m not sure where all the hate is coming from, but maybe there is some confusion here. The “billion dollar makeover” includes all of the construction currently happening at California Adventure. The Paradise Garden is only a fraction of the cash. World of Color, Little Mermaid, Cars Land and all of Buena Vista Street are some of the larger projects that are a part of the “makeover” as well.

      dont forget Toy Story Mania

  • this is a major improvement, i was there yesterday and it just feels better, its less tacky
